Chamber Luncheon

Description

Join us for our March luncheon to hear from Kathy Anderson with Iowa Workforce Development as well as Business Engagement Consultants who cover the Johnston area!

Kathy Anderson serves as Deputy Director for Business Engagement at Iowa Workforce Development. The new Business Engagement Division seeks to inform businesses about resources available to them and to simplify how those resources can be accessed.   

Kathy previously worked at Kreg Tool in Community Engagement, focusing on government relations and external partnerships. Kathy has served in leadership roles at the Iowa Association of Business and Industry, as Program Manager for the Home Base Iowa program at the Iowa Economic Development Authority. Prior to moving to the Des Moines metro, she served as Vice President of Government Affairs at the Siouxland Chamber of Commerce and in Public Relations at Gateway Computers.  In addition to professional endeavors, Kathy is a member of the Variety Board, has served on several statewide and national boards, serves at the Chairperson for the Johnston Kosovo partnership, served for ten years as Johnston Planning and Zoning Commissioner, and has been an active volunteer in the public schools and extra-curricular activities in Johnston. Kathy is married to Dale Anderson and is an obnoxiously proud mom of two children, Erin, a third-year student at the University of Iowa and Nathan, a first-year student at the University of Nebraska.
